Ukraine got first place in Europe in the export of walnuts. Total export of nuts from Ukraine amounted to 40 thousand tons and brought $ 79.28 million. Nowadays, Ukraine is in the top 5 countries in the world for the production of walnuts, behind the USA, China, Chile and Mexico. Last year, Ukraine harvested 110 thousand tons.

Ukrainian experts predict that export deliveries will increase by 25%, and the country will be able to earn through the sale of 155 million dollars. This writes the portal Inform-UA. In the first four months of the nut export season – from October of last year to January of this year inclusively, Ukraine earned about 77.4 million US dollars on them, which is twenty-three percent more than for the corresponding period of 2018-2019
Among the main buyers of Ukrainian nuts are Turkey, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, Azerbaijan and Albania. Walnuts grows only on seven percent of the globe and Ukraine is in the most favorable zone, which once again proves the fertility and favorable geographical location of our country.

During the quarantine period, Ukraine increased imports of chicken to 16.1 million dollars, which is 46.7% more than in January-April last year (10.9 million dollars). Exports of chicken increased by 11.5% to almost $ 200 million. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service. Most chicken was exported to the Netherlands (18%), Saudi Arabia (15%) and Germany (14.5%).

These statistics suggest that the Ukrainian market is not deficient in chicken and other types of poultry meat. Exports of this product exceeded imports in weight terms by more than four times. Also, from the beginning of 2020, Ukraine exported 175 thousand tons of chicken meat with a total value of $ 223.5 million. Compared to the same period last year, the supply of Ukrainian chicken meat abroad increased by 25% (in monetary terms).
For 5 months, Ukraine supplied the Netherlands with  meat for $ 39.3 million. At the same time, Saudi Arabia bought Ukrainian Halal poultry meat for $ 34.2 million, and the UAE for $ 29 million. Recall that over ten years Ukraine has increased the supply of chicken by 30 times and has become one of the key traders.

The Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) agreed on Halal Ukrainian centers – Halal Certification Center LLC and Halal Global Ukraine Certification Center for exporting Halal chiken  meat and products of it from Ukraine to Singapore.

To export Halal products have the opportunity Ukrainian enterprises for the production chiken meat and productsof it, which were previously approved by the competent authority of Singapore.

Singapore’s recogneted of Halal certificates of two Ukrainian certification centers opens up new export opportunities for Ukrainian poultry producers.

At the same time, the lack of a Halal certificate limited the export potential, given the structure of demand in this country.

Now, to export Halal chiken meat to Singapore, need to have an export certificate from the State Food and Beverage Service and a Halal certificate from one of the Ukrainian centers, valid for two years with the possibility of extension.
